Questions about how the Satispay IBAN works

The Satispay IBAN is the unique identifier for your Satispay account, allowing you to send and receive SEPA transfers for free. With your Satispay IBAN, you can:


  • Send payments via standard SEPA credit transfers
  • Receive payments via credit transfer from any bank account within the SEPA area (including your salary)
  • Set up recurring transfers


This allows you to exchange money even with those who are not yet Satispay users. The IBAN is directly linked to your in-app Balance.


Please note:
This service is not available to minors.
The Satispay IBAN is valid for SEPA area transactions only. Receiving international transfers (SWIFT) from countries outside the SEPA area is not supported.

Activation is completely free and only takes a few moments. Go to the Settings section of the app, select Your Satispay IBAN, and click the activation button. Your IBAN will be ready immediately to use and share with whoever you choose.

Sending money is simple:


  1. Go to the Pay > Contacts section.
  2. Select Send > Credit Transfer.
  3. Enter the recipient's details (name and IBAN), the amount, and the payment description.
  4. Choose whether to set the payment as recurring (weekly or monthly).
  5. Check the summary and confirm the operation.


The transaction is free. The Satispay IBAN handles standard transfers (instant transfers are not currently supported). Operations are typically processed within 1–2 business days, depending on the processing times of the involved bank.
If the recipient's IBAN belongs to another Satispay user, the payment will be processed and completed instantly.

It’s easy! Go to Settings > Your Satispay IBAN: from here, you can copy your details or share them directly via message, email, or other apps.

For every transfer sent or received, you can download a receipt by going to Account > Transactions. Tap on the transaction to view its details and select the option to download or share the receipt.
You can monitor all incoming and outgoing movements in the Account > Transactions section; tapping on any single operation will show you its full details.

We perform a real-time payee verification before you confirm the payment. The system checks that the name entered matches the actual owner of the provided IBAN: this tool is essential for preventing typing errors and fraud attempts. If there is a discrepancy or the verification if for some reason not possible, you will be warned before proceeding.
