Satispay "Pay in 3" is here: the new feature that lets you split your everyday expenses into 3 interest-free installments* directly from the app, while paying just like you always have.

How does Pay in 3 work?

At checkout, enter a total amount of at least €30.

If you are eligible for the service, you will see and be able to tap the "Pay in 3" option.

Before finalizing the payment, you will see a summary of the 3 installments and their due dates.

All the answers regarding "Pay in 3"

With Satispay, you can pay for your purchases in three convenient installments, with no costs or interest. It’s very simple: at the time of payment (in physical stores or online), enter the total amount (or scan the QR Code on the POS), select the “Pay in 3” option, view the installment amounts and dates, and confirm! The merchant receives the full amount immediately, while you only pay the first installment at the moment of purchase. The next two installments will be charged automatically every month.


💡 The minimum payment amount is €30. The maximum amount is variable and visible in the App at the time of payment.


You can always view enabled stores by tapping the "Pay in 3" filter in the Shops section.


🔔 Note: If you use Meal Vouchers (Buoni Pasto) or Gift Vouchers, you cannot use the Pay in 3 feature.


By tapping the button in the App to use the "Pay in 3" service, you accept the relative Terms & Conditions. After your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your account containing a summary of the installments you need to pay. A loan is a binding commitment: before proceeding, please verify that you can manage future repayments without issues. APR 0%.


Pay in 3 is a feature reserved for a limited number of adult users and available only at select stores.

The "Pay in 3" feature is being released gradually and is not yet available to everyone. To access the service, you must be part of the user selection made by Satispay, have a verified account, be a resident of Italy, be at least 18 years old, and have a valid IBAN registered. If you don't see it in your app yet, don't worry: it will be made available progressively to more users. You do not need to contact support; you will find it directly in the app as soon as it is available for your profile.

You pay the first installment immediately at the time of purchase. To activate the plan, you just need enough Balance in your app. If you don't, you can choose to perform an instant top-up from the bank account associated with your profile at a cost of €0.25 to cover the first installment.


The next two installments are due after 1 and 2 months respectively and will be collected automatically. Don't worry: three days before each deadline, we will alert you with a notification and an SMS, so you always know when the next installment is coming.


When the payment time arrives, we will first check your Balance:
- If it is sufficient, the installment is paid immediately.
- If it is not sufficient, we will proceed with a direct debit on the bank account associated with your profile.
In this case, the operation may take 3 to 10 business days to complete and for the installment to show as paid in the app.


If this debit also fails, we will make new attempts in the following days: checking your Balance first and, only if that is insufficient, charging the amount from your bank account. We will keep you updated with notifications and SMS at every step so you always know the status.

🔔 The charge is made to the IBAN associated with your account, which you can view on the installment summary screen. If you want to change it, simply click "Change" and select a different one, but remember that this choice also changes the IBAN used for your Budget top-ups.

Pay in 3 is a feature reserved for a limited number of adult users and available only at select stores.

You can request a refund for a purchase made with "Pay in 3" directly from the merchant or by contacting us.


In the case of a refund, the amount will be used to reduce or clear future installments. If the refund amount is higher than the remaining installments, the difference will be credited directly to your Balance.


🔔 Note: If the merchant decides to refund you via a voucher, gift card, or cash, your installment plan will remain active and unchanged.

To offer the "Pay in 3" feature, no specific requirements are needed from the stores. The service, which is not available for all merchant types, allows customers to split payments into 3 installments with no additional costs for the merchant. The service is free and involves no changes to existing contractual conditions; any future updates will be communicated with adequate notice. Merchants who do not wish to make the feature available can write to business@satispay.com to request deactivation.
