Building a career and a life in Luxembourg

Packing your bags and start a new adventure in a new country it’s a huge step, but it can also be start of something amazing.

Our Luxembourg hub is growing, and it’s filled with brilliant people who made a similar decision. We sat down with three talented members of our team - Germano, Matteo, and Qiqi - to hear their stories. Here’s what they had to say.

For our team, the reasons are as unique as they are.

For Germano, who joined us right after graduating from Politecnico di Torino, it was about chasing new experiences. “I’ve always looked for opportunities to live abroad,” he says. After doing Erasmus in Norway, he knew he wanted another challenge. “Here in Luxembourg, I found the chance to join a young, dynamic, and challenging environment.”

Matteo, also a management engineer, was looking for a change of pace from his previous role in a more traditional company. He wanted to find the perfect blend of international experience and a culture he could connect with. His solution? “An Italian fintech with a presence abroad seemed like the perfect fit.”

And sometimes, the reason is simple: love. Qiqi, who came to Luxembourg from China, explains, “This might sound a bit corny, but I moved here for love. I’m happy I made this decision.”

A new city is one thing, but a new workplace is another. We believe in building a culture where everyone can thrive.

Growth here is a hands-on experience. “What I love the most is that we get the chance to do so many different things,” says Germano. “Nobody will ever say ‘that’s not your job.’ This really encourages growth and sparks curiosity.”

We’re serious about investing in our people. Matteo has grown through “certified training, continuous feedback, and increasing responsibilities.” Qiqi agrees, adding that our “Dive Deep” culture has pushed her to “always research more, ask more and act more.”

But it’s the people that make all the difference. “My favorite thing is the team spirit and the friendly atmosphere,” Matteo shares. “It feels like working with friends in a compact, supportive group.”

Qiqi puts it perfectly: “Everyone’s efforts and ideas are valued and appreciated, and the team is always there to support each other when needed.”

So, what happens when you log off for the day? Luxembourg has a special charm that quickly wins you over.

“Living in Luxembourg feels like living in an oasis,” Germano says. “Everything is within reach, public transportation is free, and the city is super clean. I love the sense of calm.”

For Matteo, it's the perfect balance. He loves “the greenery, the quiet, and the central location, which makes it easy to reach many European cities.” It’s a peaceful home base for someone who, after never taking a flight before university, now travels the world.

But beyond the practical perks, there’s a deeper feeling of belonging. Qiqi describes it as “inclusiveness. Luxembourg is a country where everyone can be themselves without feeling judged.”

From the gym to hiking in the forests, there’s a life to be built here. Germano even found a community right away through the Juventus Official Fan Club. “It was a great way to make new friends when I first arrived,” he notes.
