Meal Vouchers represent a benefit offered by companies to their employees, usable for meals, groceries, or online purchases. Meal Vouchers guarantee numerous fiscal advantages for:

• Companies: They are 100% deductible and exempt from tax, social security, and welfare contributions up to the exemption threshold of €8 per meal voucher.

• Freelancers (Partite IVA): They are deductible up to 75% for freelancers up to the limit of 2% of annual turnover. They are a suitable solution for all types of companies, even small ones, and for all employees and collaborators.

No, the Meal Voucher value is decided directly by the employer or by the freelancer who wishes to use them for themselves.

Satispay Meal Vouchers follow the same usage rules valid for all Meal Vouchers, including:

• They are not transferable: if you don't use them, you cannot give them to another person.
• You can use a maximum of 8 per transaction
• They are not convertible into cash.

You can use them only for the full face value: if the amount to be paid is lower than the Voucher value, you cannot use the Voucher and receive the change in cash, nor use the residual value for other transactions.

All usage rules are indicated within Art. 4, paragraph 1, in Annex II.17 of Legislative Decree 36/2023.

Companies: You can decide the quantity of Meal Vouchers to purchase based on your needs: the quantity depends on the number of employees to whom they are issued and the number of working days they have performed (maximum 1 Meal Voucher per day; holidays and sick days cannot be counted).

Professionals with VAT number: You can decide the quantity of Meal Vouchers to purchase based on your needs to deduct expenses incurred for the administration of food and beverages up to a maximum amount of 2% of gross annual turnover.

Satispay Meal Vouchers are entirely digital and can be used by the employee only via the Satispay app. If the employee does not already have an account on the Satispay app, they must download the app on their mobile device and register for the Satispay service reserved for private clients.

The employee enters the code received upon request from their employer in the Satispay app settings to activate a section dedicated to their Meal Vouchers. In the "Meal Vouchers" (Buoni Pasto) section, the employee can view the Meal Vouchers loaded every month by their employer.

The employee can consult the balance of their Meal Vouchers in the "Meal Vouchers" section and the list of affiliated businesses in the "Shops" (Negozi) section by applying the "Meal Vouchers" filter.

The employee can pay in a single solution via the Satispay app, using both Satispay Meal Vouchers and funds available on their Satispay account, in over 70,000 affiliated shops (always, even at dinner and on weekends).
