Satispay moves towards banking: debit cards arrive in partnership with Mastercard

The Italian super-app with 6.5 million users launches debit cards and an in-app stocks and ETFs purchasing service. Users will now be able to pay with Satispay anywhere in the world.

Milan, 7 July 2026

Satispay closes the first half with June 2026 ARR of €120M and announces a significant turning point in its history: after the IBAN, the Italian super-app is launching debit cards in partnership with Mastercard and taking a decisive step towards banking. This is a natural evolution for a platform that already has 6.5 million users and, with its recent capital increase, has consolidated the foundations for this new phase.

This new collaboration brings together the innovative energy of a fintech unicorn and the global experience of a payments leader: an alliance aimed at strengthening the digital evolution of payment services in Italy.

Alberto Dalmasso, Co-Founder and CEO of Satispay, commented: "Our journey began with a promise: to free payments from all complexity. The proprietary payment network was—and remains—the heart of a broader vision: improving people's lives by making every financial service simple and accessible. The results achieved to date, with 6.5 million users, 450,000 participating merchants and the renewed confidence of our investors, are proof that the vision of the future guiding us is becoming reality.

Our aim is to make Satispay the most loved financial platform, in Italy and abroad. That is why, alongside the many services we have already launched, we continue to work so that community users can find all the features of an account in the app: from the IBAN, already activated at the beginning of the year, to debit cards. To do this, we chose a partner such as Mastercard, which immediately saw fintech as an opportunity for evolution and growth. Having your salary paid in, growing your savings, spending anywhere in the world: we are building a single space where our users can manage their money simply, with complete freedom and without borders."

Luca Corti, Country Manager Italy at Mastercard, said: "We are proud to support an innovative, leading player in the Italian fintech landscape such as Satispay on its path of growth and evolution. At Mastercard, we work constantly to offer users cutting-edge tools and technologies that ensure increasingly seamless, fast and secure payments, with the goal of tangibly simplifying their daily lives. Alongside Satispay, we are therefore putting our global expertise at the service of consumers and businesses, enabling users to benefit from extensive global acceptance and the most advanced security technologies, demonstrating that the future of payments lies in platforms able to put the user at the centre, without compromising between experience and security."

Unlocking people's potential through money management that is simple, accessible and capable of generating value: this is Satispay's mission.

With the introduction of the Mastercard card, users will be able to pay with Satispay throughout the world, in Italy and abroad, making it a payment instrument accepted everywhere. The card will guarantee zero foreign-exchange fees on payments in non-euro currencies and free cash withdrawals in Italy and abroad, up to the limits specified for each subscription.

The card integrates with the offering already available in the app, completing an ecosystem of services designed for every financial need: savings and investing services, to make money grow according to individual goals; Buy Now Pay Later, to spread payments interest-free; and the Mastercard card, to extend Satispay payments to any merchant worldwide.

The offering, which will be available to the entire user base in the coming days, comprises 3 physical debit cards on the Mastercard network. Each physical card is linked to one of Satispay's 3 different subscription plans. The Red card included with Satispay Plus is the recycled-PVC Mastercard Platinum card designed to enhance everyday spending, with double points, insurance cover for online and in-store purchases, and favourable terms on refills, savings and investments. This card will also become available without a plan in the coming months. Satispay Metal is the most affordable metal Mastercard Debit World card on the market, designed for travellers: zero foreign-exchange fees on payments in non-euro currencies, higher free-withdrawal limits, discounted airport-lounge access and extended insurance cover, as well as triple points and savings and investment benefits. Satispay Velvet is the exclusive Mastercard World Elite card, the highest tier in the range, for frequent travellers who want the very best: free, unlimited airport lounges, zero foreign-exchange fees, the highest withdrawal limits, quadruple points and the most comprehensive insurance-cover package. Finally, every card will also be available immediately in a digital version to add to the user's wallet.

At the same time, as announced, Satispay is further enhancing the Investments section, which already has half a million users, and following the Invested Money Box and the launch of Satispay Investment Funds, today presents its new service for buying and selling Stocks & ETFs directly in the app. The service will be available from next week. True to its distinctive character, the new offering also features a clear, simple interface, designed to break down the barriers that still discourage many people from taking their first steps into investing.

Users will have access to more than 1,000 Stocks & ETFs, with a guided experience designed to make investing simple and accessible to everyone. Costs are clear, transparent and competitive, with a fixed fee of €0.89 per transaction and free recurring investment plans on all selected Vanguard ETFs. Users can start by investing as little as €1 thanks to fractional stocks and ETFs.
