Satispay Buy Now Pay Later: the community using the BNPL service that grows receipts and customers expands

Three interest-free instalments, directly from the app already used by more than 6 million users. Banca Finint supports Satispay in developing the service. After IKEA Italia, the service also arrives at Mondadori Stores, Unes and Fielmann.

Milan, 18 March 2026

Satispay, the super-app that simplifies money and financial-service management, is bringing its "Buy Now Pay Later" service to Mondadori Stores and Unes just over three months after launch. They join major brands already offering it, including IKEA Italia, Gamelife and Fielmann, as well as Michelin-starred restaurants, pharmacies and hotels. From today, their customers can spread purchases over three interest-free instalments with no additional steps: all it takes is one tap in the app, with no forms to complete.

The first findings recorded among service users are already noteworthy.

An innovation that meets a widespread need to plan spending. The profile of those using Satispay Buy Now Pay Later shows an even gender distribution — 52% men and 48% women. The average transaction value is €113, around 15 times the average in-store receipt, confirming that instalments are used for higher-value purchases. Furthermore, with an average of 1.6 transactions per user in these first few months, Buy Now Pay Later is emerging not as an occasional option but as a recurring, informed pattern of use.

For all participating merchants, the effect is twofold: higher value per receipt and access to new customers. Indeed, 36% of payments made with Satispay Buy Now Pay Later represent a first purchase, positioning the service as an effective driver of incremental traffic. 59% of transactions take place offline, demonstrating the product's ability to generate value precisely at physical points of sale.

"Our objective with Buy Now Pay Later — which we are bringing to the market at scale thanks to the support of *Banca Finint** — is to democratize innovation, making the shopping experience increasingly smooth and accessible, both online and in the small neighbourhood shop"* explained Alberto Dalmasso, Founder and CEO of Satispay. "For people, it means being able to spread payments independently from their smartphone, with maximum simplicity and discretion, and no paperwork at the checkout. At the same time, we want to support the more than 400,000 Italian merchants in our network by giving them access to cutting-edge payment technology capable of tangibly supporting the growth of their business."

The creation of Buy Now Pay Later is supported by Banca Finint, which enabled the product's financial engineering by structuring the securitization of receivables arising from deferred payments. Finint acts both as arranger, defining the guidelines and mechanisms of the financial structure, and in the various operational roles required for its management (master servicer, calculation agent, corporate servicer, representative of the noteholders).

Lucio Izzi, CEO of Banca Finint Group, added: "We are pleased to have contributed our structured-finance expertise to the creation of this new Satispay initiative. Seeking innovative financial solutions to support market needs has always been part of Banca Finint's DNA. Internationally, buy now pay later is now an increasingly established asset class that has attracted the interest of investment banks and credit funds. Attention to the quality of the product and its financial structure is, however, key to its success and to its ability to attract funders' interest over time."

Buy Now Pay Later can be activated directly at the time of payment: the user enters the total amount and selects the "Buy Now Pay Later" option. A summary screen then allows the user to check the instalment plan and, only after accepting it, send the payment to the merchant. After sending it, the user receives an email confirming payment of the first instalment, together with a summary of the next two. After one month and after 2 months, the remaining two instalments are charged to the wallet balance. The user also receives a reminder notification before the due date, advising them that they need sufficient funds in the wallet to complete the payment.

To find stores participating in the service, simply open the Satispay app and activate the "Buy Now Pay Later" filter.

Satispay

Founded in 2015, Satispay is the super-app and proprietary payment network that makes money and financial-service management simple and accessible. With a constantly growing community of 6 million people, the platform allows users to pay by smartphone (at in-store and online merchants), exchange money free of charge and access numerous value-added services: the Cashback Points loyalty program, Buy Now Pay Later to split everyday expenses into 3 interest-free instalments, mobile top-ups, payment of slips, car and motorcycle road tax, PagoPA, gift cards, Donations and savings. After consolidating its B2C experience, Satispay extended its model to the B2B world. In September 2023, it entered corporate welfare with the innovative Satispay Meal Vouchers and Fringe Benefits, followed by the Satispay FlexBen platform, which simplifies the management of reimbursements and pension funds. In just over two years, Satispay has established itself as one of the sector's leading operators, with more than 40,000 client companies already, offering their employees next-generation welfare tools that are simple and quick to use, as well as one of Italy's broadest acceptance networks (more than 400,000 participating in-store and online merchants). And finally, Satispay expanded its offering with the Investments section and Invested Money Box, making investing accessible even to those approaching capital markets for the first time.
